Are you seeing a shift in the spiritual path for individuals today?

Studies estimate 40–60% of younger adults are open to experiential spirituality. Many within traditions also seek practical, results-oriented approaches.

Today, the biggest challenges are choice overload, impatience, lack of discipline, and distraction. With so many paths and teachers online, seekers can’t easily determine what actually works for them. Technology and social media widen access but can fragment depth.

Studies show that brief, practical spiritual practices such as contemplation or meditation help individuals experience inner peace and calm amid a chaotic world and become attuned to a higher reality. These practices have measurable mental health benefits, which help to explain their widespread appeal.

Younger seekers are especially drawn to past-life themes and experiential methods, and there’s a growing emphasis on spiritual maturity expressed as service and selfless action.

For me the teachings of Eckankar, the Path to Spiritual Freedom, fits these trends: it emphasizes direct, personal experience. Those ready for a next step want to contact the universe, the divine, or a higher force through dreams, contemplation, and Soul Travel directly. Simple, yet powerful spiritual exercises allow us to experience our divine nature firsthand.

These spiritual tools help people feel connected, grounded, and purposeful. The simple spiritual practices—like singing an ancient Mantra, used for centuries, “HU”, contemplation, shifting our attitude to Gratitude—work like a tuning fork. They attune us to a higher reality. We start to see that everything in our lives is for good and serves the Soul’s education.

In a changing world, the core spiritual principles and laws remain constant; these teachings are timeless. Instead of allowing new technologies to master us, we are called to master them.

One of the major faculties of Soul is creativity and the unique ability to imagine and create. It is our birthright to use these God-like qualities: creativity and divine imagination.

Albert Einstein said “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.”

Individuals can raise their Spiritual Intelligence by creating a brighter world using creativity and imagination: Dream, imagine, plan, take active steps to pursue your dreams.

You were recently on the Defining Moments Podcast. Tell us about your defining moments.

A defining moment or pivotal event that fundamentally changed the way I look at life and death began when my mother was fatally injured in an accident and with the process of my mother’s passing.

During these last moments I had a vision of her in radiant light, she was welcomed in a world of overwhelming love. Shortly after her passing I saw her again when she happily danced in these inner worlds saying “I am free”. These inner experiences confirmed to me that consciousness continues beyond the physical body.

Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, one of the world’s leading experts on death and dying, spent decades studying more than 20,000 cases involving death, grief, and near-death experiences. After years of interviewing dying patients and people who clinically died and returned, she famously said, “When we have passed beyond the fear of life and death we have true freedom.”

These studies confirmed my own experience.

I noticed that we are not taught how to grieve or reflect on death and dying. People avoid looking into its spiritual dimensions. Most of us were taught to fear death, avoid grief, and not talk openly about what happens when life changes forever. We are taught how to perform and achieve outer success.
But almost nobody teaches us proven tools when we face loss and hardship. And perhaps the greatest loss of all is that many people spend their lives fearing death instead of understanding the sacredness of life itself.

If people never learn how to process grief, understand death and dying, they will continue carrying invisible pain and fear that affects every part of their lives.

But when people begin to understand mortality differently, something powerful happens.
Perspective changes. Healing begins. And life becomes infinitely more precious and meaningful.

My life has never been the same since then. This transformation became even more personal when I was faced with a diagnosis of thyroid cancer. At that point I made a conscious choice

to embrace gratitude and trust in my inner guidance rather than give in to fear. Through spiritual practices, the support of a dedicated team of medical professionals and a commitment to natural healing my condition was resolved without the need for the surgery that had been scheduled.

Following my recovery, working closely with Spiritual guides, practicing spiritual exercises, and remaining open to divine guidance I have brought about an ongoing realignment in my life. This journey has kept me centered, and inspires me to share these teachings with others.

Today I am passionate about sharing these spiritual tools so people can move beyond fear and uncertainty, discover their true purpose and live more fully aligned, meaningful and spiritually enriched lives.

My mission is to empower others to embrace transformation and experience the profound inner peace that comes from truly understanding life and death

You are a Spiritual Explorer and student of Eckankar. How are you sharing secrets to spiritual living with others?

While meditation is widely practiced many seek a deeper, more dynamic form of connection. Through Eckankar I discovered contemplation—an active, creative, and personal approach to connect with the Divine Spirit.

This approach equips individuals with practical tools – inner guidance, dream exploration, Soul travel and karmic insights to support spiritual growth.

A daily routine of Spiritual Exercises and attitude shifting practices weaves spirituality seamlessly into everyday life, cultivating a greater sense of purpose and key spiritual qualities.

Eckankara spiritual exercises are practical and simple. They enable direct contact with the inner spiritual current and awaken deeper awareness providing clarity, inspiration and self-guidance for a more balanced life.

These practices integrate easily into active life, offering both immediate insights and spiritual resilience. Spiritual maturity is lived by compassion, authenticity and service to others.

Those interested can learn the secrets of tuning in to inner guidance, explore the adventures of our nightly dreams, the realities of Soul Travel, and our karmic history in workshops or introductory classes. We can gain prophetic insights into daily living.

As a student of this teachings, I work with an experienced guide, the Mᴀʜᴀɴᴛᴀ, the Living ECK Master, who provides both inner guidance and outer spiritual instruction.

At present this is Sri Doug Kunin.

Having a guide as both inner and outer teacher is invaluable, supporting alignment with timeless principles and contemporary challenges. The journey to self discovery and God discovery is supported at every step by this relationship. Soul gradually unfolds consciousness in an orderly way.

Through study discourses students explore key spiritual topics such as dreams, karma, reincarnation, being cause in your life, going beyond the mind, divine love and other aspects of spiritual growth.

Students of Eckankar create a loving supportive community. Sharing experiences, serving together, attending study classes, seminars, and events foster spiritual growth and lasting friendships.

Eckankar offers a direct, experiential path to divine spirit, self-understanding and potential spiritual transformation for daily life. If you are ready to experience it, take the next step and explore Eckankar for yourself. Reach out, join a class or event and begin your own journey of spiritual discovery today.

How are you helping individuals to understand their highest purpose and to  tap into their truest potential.

Each person is on a journey of Self- and God-Discovery. We are Soul—an eternal,

unique spark of Divine Spirit. We do not have a Soul; we have a body and we are Soul. Deep within, Soul yearns to rediscover its true nature and fulfill its highest purpose.

Soul’s journey is to evolve in love and compassion, and ultimately love as God loves.

As a longtime student of Eckankar, I share simple spiritual tools and practices to help people discover their purpose through direct experience with the Life Force. These exercises encourage looking within, listening to inner guidance, and deepening connection with the Divine. Each spiritual exercise offers insights that help unlock aspects of our highest potential.

On a practical level, we express our divine nature through giving in many ways: loving and caring for family, serving the community, supporting spiritual organizations, or simply offering kindness in daily interactions.

The most valuable practice I recommend is doing daily Spiritual Exercises while keeping a spiritual journal. Over time, recurring dreams, insights, talents, opportunities, and karmic lessons reveal patterns that indicate one’s unique calling and deeper purpose. Inner guidance helps turn inspiration into meaningful action.

As a spiritual explorer, I enjoy sharing HU—an ancient love song to God. HU serves as a spiritual tuning fork, aligning awareness with the Source of All Life, often called the Life Force or Holy Spirit. Singing or contemplating HU can open the heart, heighten awareness, and help people recognize the divine presence in their lives.

As individuals trust their inner guidance and act on their deepest values, they gain clarity, confidence, and fulfillment. This fosters a deeper sense of connection with their purpose. Thus, they live from their true potential and contribute more meaningfully to the world.

Tell us about your TEDx Talk, From Fear to Freedom: What Death Teaches Us About Life.

My TEDx Talk, From Fear to Freedom: What Death Teaches Us About Life, explores how my mother’s passing transformed my understanding of death and, ultimately, how I live my life.

The turning point was after my mother’s serious accident. In that difficult moment, I inwardly chanted HU, a sacred mantra.

Instead of fear and anxiety, I felt peace and a broader awareness. I saw my mother surrounded by radiant light and sensed assurance that she was cared for beyond the physical realm.

After her final breath, I felt her presence again and heard her say, “I am free.” Whether it was spiritual, heightened awareness, or deeply personal, this moment changed me. It shifted my view about death as something to fear or as an ending to a transition—Soul’s ongoing journey.

These experiences led me to explore the growing body of Near-Death Experience (NDE) research and firsthand accounts from people who have crossed the threshold of death and returned. While interpretations vary, many describe heightened love, compassion, interconnectedness, and an awareness that consciousness extends beyond the physical body. These accounts resonated with what I had personally experienced.

The core message of my talk is this: Understanding death can teach us how to live with greater presence, intention, and love. Exploring our inner world through contemplation, prayer, chanting, or reflection lets fear yield to understanding. The heart opens. We become more present, intentional, and aware of what matters.

The takeaway is clear: Valuing the sacredness of life and prioritizing love prompts us to act on what matters most—choosing forgiveness, service, gratitude, and authenticity now. Understanding that death is a doorway in Soul’s evolution teaches us to live fully, love deeply, and embrace each moment with greater purpose and compassion.

What’s Next?

I am committed to sharing spiritual insights with broader audiences, aiming to inspire personal growth and transformation.

My recent NBC interview, airing in June, explores spiritual growth, inner guidance, and how transformative experiences can help overcome fear and find fulfillment.

I lead workshops based on the teaching of Eckankar and discussions in the Dominican Republic, providing practical spiritual tools and fostering inward exploration.

One of the highlights of the year will be serving as a co-host and speaker at the 2026 Dominican ECK Soul Adventure Seminar, taking place December 5–6, 2026, in Cabarete, Dominican Republic.

The two-day event at a beachfront boutique hotel will feature a spiritual program with international speakers, workshops, and opportunities for personal exploration. The seminar theme is “Secrets to Health and Healing.” Hosted by Eckankar, the seminar welcomes all backgrounds to explore spiritual techniques, inner healing, and practical ways to find wisdom and purpose.

For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be live streamed via Zoom, allowing participants from around the world to join the experience.

I plan future talks, podcasts, and events that empower individuals to unlock spiritual potential and live with greater purpose and joy.
