Kami believes women’s wisdom is the medicine our earth needs. Today, her community is creating a new paradigm of entrepreneurship, where women rise together and lead with purpose. They are becoming known for their ideas, expanding their influence, and creating meaningful impact through the businesses they are building.
Kami is the founder of the Extraordinary Women Ignite Conference and host of the award-winning Extraordinary Women RadioTM. She is the best-selling author of Firedancer: Your Spiral Journey to a Life of Passion and Purpose and was named to the 2020 Twenty-Five Most Powerful Women in Business List by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

What was the catalyst for your coaching business?
In June 2008, I was laid off from my corporate leadership role after nearly two decades in the oil and gas software industry. A month later, my father passed away. Two enormous parts of my life changed within weeks, and I spent the following 17 months trying to figure out where I belonged.
On a particularly emotional day, when I was certain I didn’t want the job I had just applied for but didn’t know what I was meant to do, a coach suggested I go out to the barn and simply breathe my horse’s breath. I thought it was an interesting suggestion, but as a lifelong horse person, I took her advice. I breathed my paint mare’s breath, then leaned into her withers, resting my head against her.
I had recently met a woman who brought horses into her leadership and personal growth coaching, and I was drawn to her work. In that quiet moment with my mare, I had an epiphany: I could see myself doing that work. After 17 months of searching, a possibility opened that brought together my lifelong love of horses, my leadership experience, and my desire to help people grow. I didn’t know everything it would become, but I knew I wanted to follow it.
I pursued certification in equine guided coaching and signed my first paying client during the first week of training.
Initially, I coached executive women who were hearing a calling toward something more in their lives. As we worked together, the women I was coaching began leaving their corporate careers to start businesses of their own, inspired in part by watching me follow my calling.
I saw how much I could bring to their entrepreneurial journeys through my experience in marketing, branding, business strategy, and leadership. My work grew alongside them, helping women give voice to their ideas and build businesses rooted in their wisdom, purpose, and the lives they wanted to create.
Today, I help women entrepreneurs become the go-to leaders in their space, known for the wisdom and ideas they bring to the world. The women I work with are creating and leading movements through their work. Through my Soul+Strategy™ approach, I help them amplify their voices, expand their visibility, and grow profitable businesses with more time prosperity and wealth prosperity. My mission is to raise up the voices, visibility, and businesses of one million women entrepreneurs around the world for impact. And yes, I still bring the horses into my work.
How is the world of small business changing?
In my conversations with women entrepreneurs, I’m hearing a desire to build businesses that matter and support a full, joyful life. They want meaningful impact, strong profitability, and time to enjoy what they are creating.
I also believe we are being asked to bring more of our own thinking into our leadership. I often say, “You can’t AI your leadership of thought.” Your experience, the patterns you recognize, and the ideas you are willing to stand behind are the foundation of your authority. Women have extraordinary wisdom to contribute, and giving that wisdom a voice is a powerful opportunity for business growth.
My approach to visibility centers on relationship overreach. I want women to become remembered and trusted for what they know. Speaking, podcast conversations, thoughtful writing, and genuine connections can build an ecosystem where people come to know, love, and trust you. That is the kind of business growth I’m interested in leading.

Your community is creating a new paradigm of entrepreneurship. Explain.
We are bringing a more feminine, abundant approach to building successful businesses. Intuition, creativity, collaboration, and connection have a place alongside clear strategy, financial decisions, and ambitious goals.
Within our community, women share ideas, make introductions, create opportunities together, and celebrate one another’s success. Those relationships become part of how their businesses grow. I often tell my clients that “conversations create.” A conversation can open the door to a speaking invitation, a collaboration, a new client, or a bigger vision of what is possible.
We also design for both time prosperity and wealth prosperity. We look at how a business can generate greater revenue and profit while creating room for the life its owner desires. That might mean simplifying offers, strengthening pricing, or focusing visibility around her deepest expertise.
I love seeing women build businesses that reflect who they are and what they believe. Their success expands possibilities for the women around them, creates opportunities for others, and brings more dollars to the causes and communities they care about. As one woman rises, her impact reaches her family, her clients, and the people whose lives are touched by her work and generosity. That’s the ripple effect I’m here to help create.
Tell us about Soul+Strategy™.
Soul+Strategy™. brings soulful inspiration into mindful business strategy. It honors a woman’s inner wisdom and gives her practical ways to bring her vision into the world.
The soul work asks: What do you know? What are you here to lead? What do you want your business and life to make possible? We create space to hear those answers and trust them.
The strategy work turns that clarity into decisions about offers, pricing, messaging, visibility, and the relationships that support growth. For example, a woman may recognize that her greatest contribution lives in one particular part of her work. We can build a stronger offer around that expertise, price it to reflect its value, and help her become known for it.
My three Pillars of Prosperity are Vision, Voice, and Visibility. Vision gives direction. Voice puts language to her wisdom and point of view. Visibility brings that message into the rooms and relationships where it can make an impact. Together, they help her grow a business with purpose, joy, and prosperity.
How does Ignite bring entrepreneurs to the next level of leadership and growth?
Extraordinary Women Ignite takes place November 5–7, 2026, at the Sheraton Denver West in Colorado. This is our 12th annual gathering, and I think of it as a collective think tank for women entrepreneurs.
We create space to work on your business, apply what you are learning, and have meaningful conversations with other women who are building and leading. The focus includes simplifying your business model, strengthening your message, expanding visibility, and creating more time and wealth prosperity.
The leadership work is personal, too. What are you ready to say out loud? What are you here to set in motion? Ignite invites women to back their wisdom and make decisions that support the impact they want to create.
I want each woman to leave with clearer direction, practical steps for growth, and relationships that continue supporting her long after the conference.

Share takeaways form the conference and testimonials.
Women leave Ignite thinking bigger about what they are here to lead, with a stronger voice, strategies to expand their visibility, and a concrete plan to grow their businesses with more time prosperity and wealth prosperity. They have time in the room to work on that plan and make decisions that move their vision forward. And the connections are huge. Women find clients, collaborators, referral partners, and friends who open doors, champion their ideas, and continue growing alongside them long after Ignite.
Priscilla: “I loved the people, the leadership, the camaraderie, the amazing speakers, the encouragement to rise up and be a leader.”
Jessica: “The vibe was so high this year. It’s always been good, but this year was something else! The speakers were great, the attendees were awesome, everything just felt super elevated this year.” “I made some wonderful new connections and it was lovely to see familiar faces and rekindle relationships.”
Christina: “I liked the variety of session formats, the speakers, the level of leadership/high caliber women. I also really enjoyed the special moments to make connection with everyone – especially the closing circle. I took away a notebook full of golden nuggets from just about every speaker.”
Teena: “It was absolutely beautiful. I wasn’t prepared to sit with those deep dive questions…usually we get to jot them down in a notebook and go home with the mere intent to think about it. So much good stuff was discovered because of it.”

Share your inspiration for Firedancer: Your Spiral Journey to a Life of Passion and Purpose.
Firedancer grew out of my own journey of listening to the whispers of my heart and finding the courage to follow them.
Years before I started my business, I found a spiral seashell at 16,000 feet in Tibet. I heard an inner voice say, “Yes, there is more.” That experience stayed with me, and I placed the story at the beginning of the book.
The spiral became a meaningful image for how we grow. We revisit questions about purpose, courage, and who we are, bringing new understanding each time. My own journey through corporate leadership, loss, and starting a business gave me stories and lessons to share.
I wrote Firedancer to invite readers to listen to what calls them, recognize the wisdom in their own lives, and take steps toward a life of passion and purpose. I want people to feel the possibility of living more fully as themselves.
What can we find on Extraordinary Women Radio™?
Extraordinary Women Radio™ brings you conversations with women who are making an impact through their businesses, leadership, and ideas. We explore their personal stories, the wisdom they have gained, and the decisions that helped them bring their work into the world.
Soul+Strategy™ is at the heart of the show. We talk about voice, visibility, purpose, business growth, and the courage to trust yourself. I love discovering what a woman knows deeply and giving her room to share it.
My hope is that listeners hear something that opens a possibility in their own lives or businesses. When we hear women speaking honestly about what they believe and how they lead, we can recognize more of our own wisdom and find the courage to give it a voice.
