When did your passion for makeup begin?

My passion for makeup began in my childhood. I’ve always had a love for fashion and enjoyed transforming faces, highlighting the unique beauty in every individual, and bringing out their best features.

You have worked with the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Who have you enjoyed the most? 

The person I have enjoyed working with the most is Scott Barnes. He is incredibly talented and unique, with exceptional skills in his craft. He has the patience of a saint and is the kindest soul you could ever meet. Scott is also selfless, always willing to share his unique techniques and tricks. I loved working side by side with him.

What are some of the challenges you have faced during your career?

I have faced many challenges in my career, including long hours and difficult situations. I have often taken on the responsibility of transforming the appearances of people who aspire to look like someone else, even though I know that such transformations are not entirely possible. My mornings start early as I plan out my days, working extra hours and pouring my sweat and tears into every project I undertake.

As a single mother of two daughters, my biggest challenge has been teaching them the importance of being role models. I want them to understand that no matter what life throws their way, they can always find a path forward by keeping their faith and determination.

I have also had to work alongside unpleasant people who belittled me in the industry. Despite these trials, I choose to stay quiet, knowing that my journey is stronger than the negativity around me.

You released your much-anticipated book, “The Shadow of Death.” Tell us about it. 

“The Shadow of Death” is a personal autobiography that I have written. It has been therapeutic for me to share my story, which is a heartfelt account of a little girl who has endured so much but has remained strong in her faith. She believes that one day she will see the rainbow at the end of the thunderstorm. 

I aspire to be someone who can help others who find themselves in situations similar to mine. I want to reach out to individuals who have experienced abuse and to children of drug lords, encouraging them to understand that, eventually, everything will fall apart. I hope they realize that this lifestyle is not a viable career path, as it will ultimately lead to negative consequences.

How are you empowering others?

Today, I find myself working with my PUBLIC side by side to create a nonprofit called the “Fernandez Foundation”. Our mission is to help children from abusive families around the world, support battered women, and assist teenagers struggling with drug addiction. My goal is to reach every person in need and show them that they are beautiful souls. Life is beautiful, and they can achieve anything they choose if they keep their faith strong.

I am passionate about working with women and empowering them to recognize their inner beauty. Whether it’s through makeup or personal development, I teach them the importance of staying strong and manifesting their goals. I believe that with faith and determination, anyone can create the life they desire.
