You are the Founder and Managing Editor of The Immigrant Magazine. Share your backstory.
I still remember landing at JFK with barely $100 in my pocket and a heart full of dreams. Like so many immigrants, I arrived with more hope than certainty, determined to build a future in a place I had only known through stories and imagination.
Very early on, I realized how often immigrants are reduced to stereotypes, statistics, or political talking points. Yet every day I saw a different reality—immigrants raising families, starting businesses, shaping culture, and fueling America’s progress. Their stories were powerful, but rarely told with dignity.
That’s why I founded The Immigrant Magazine. For more than two decades, I’ve worked to amplify immigrant voices—not just to celebrate success, but to tell the backstory behind that success. Because America is America because of immigrants. We contribute $1.6 trillion every year to the U.S. economy, power more than half of billion-dollar startups, and make up nearly one-fifth of the workforce. Without our growth and integration, it is America that loses.
You are known for challenging stereotypes and bringing forward voices often overlooked. Tell us about joining forces with Larry Namer, Founder of E! Network, for The Immigrant Podcast. What led you and Larry to launch this show?
Larry and I share a belief that stories shape perception. When we met, I was reflecting on how to elevate immigrant storytelling to the highest level. He immediately saw the gap too—there wasn’t a platform centering immigrants in the way mainstream media elevates celebrities.
Together, we created The Immigrant Podcast. This is not just a podcast—it’s produced at the level of a television talk show: filmed in-studio with 4K cameras, professional sound, and multi-camera production. Larry brings his global media expertise as Founder of E! and now Chairman of LJN Media, and I bring my lived experience and two decades of immigrant storytelling. Together, we’re building a platform that challenges stereotypes and redefines how the world sees immigrants.
What can we find on the show?
Most media coverage of immigration tends to focus on challenges or politics—often fueling negative rhetoric. The Immigrant Podcast takes a different path. We highlight and celebrate the contributions, creativity, and resilience of immigrants whose stories are too often overlooked.
Immigrants make up the cultural fabric of the world and are at the core of innovation and progress, yet the very word “immigrant” is often misused in today’s media. The facts tell a different story: 46.2 million people—14.3% of the U.S. population—are first-generation immigrants. We make up nearly one-fifth of the workforce, pay over $579 billion in taxes annually, and power more than half of billion-dollar startups.
Each episode of The Immigrant Podcast is designed to bring out the humanity behind those numbers. Expect heartfelt, unfiltered conversations that honor resilience, cultural pride, and leadership. Guests share their “five-second moments”—those pivotal shifts that changed everything—and we explore the cultural joys, legacies, and contributions that make immigrants essential to America’s story.
How does AI play a role?
At heart, I’m an entrepreneur, and I see AI as a resource that has finally come to level the playground. But immigrants are often the last to access new technologies—and I am on a mission to make sure we don’t get left behind. There are over 46 million immigrants in the U.S., contributing more than $2 trillion to the national GDP. First-generation immigrants alone control over $1.4 trillion in annual purchasing power, yet we remain one of the most overlooked and underrepresented audiences in brand marketing.
That’s why AI is central to my work as a consultant and storyteller. On the production side, AI allows us to repurpose content and expand our reach so that one story can live across platforms and touch many lives. More importantly, AI allows us to combine human-centered storytelling with smart automation and trusted media channels. Through this blend, we help tell immigrant stories with authenticity, elevate visibility through platforms like The Immigrant Magazine Online, TIM TV, and ImmiMedia.com, and make sure multicultural audiences are engaged with real respect and understanding—not just included for appearance’s sake.
For me, AI is not just about efficiency. It’s about empowerment. It’s about making sure that the immigrant voice is not just included in the future—it helps shape it.

The Immigrant Podcast is here to change the narrative. Immigrants are not just part of the American story—they are essential to its future. They are creators, healers, builders, and visionaries. They contribute $1.6 trillion annually to the U.S. economy, yet their stories are too often reduced, misunderstood, or erased in the public eye.
This show is here to close that gap—not with policy debates, but with humanity. I want to feature everyone from unsung everyday heroes to global icons—immigrants, children of immigrants, and allies who believe in building bridges.
Episodes launch weekly across YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music. We are actively inviting sponsors who understand that immigrants are not a niche audience but a $1.6 trillion consumer powerhouse.
Our audience is multicultural, globally connected, and brand-loyal. We reach first- and second-generation immigrants across African, Latino/Hispanic, Asian, Middle Eastern, Caribbean, and European communities. The majority are Millennials and Gen Z—digitally active, socially conscious, and entrepreneurial—though we also connect with Gen X and Boomers. This audience matters because they are shaping culture and commerce, and they respond strongly to brands that align authentically with their values of belonging, diversity, and innovation.
At its heart, the show envisions a world where immigrant narratives are celebrated—not silenced. Where brands and communities grow together. Where culture is a bridge—not a barrier.
Outside of your broadcast work, what is important to you?
At my core, I’m a wife, a mother, and a community builder. Family grounds me. My work is public, but my purpose is deeply personal. I care about creating spaces where immigrants can thrive—not just survive—whether that’s through storytelling, mentorship, or advocacy.
And I’m passionate about legacy: what we leave behind for our children and for the generations that follow. The struggles of women entrepreneurs are already immense—access to funding, visibility, and support are constant hurdles. When you add the immigrant experience on top of that, those struggles multiply. That’s why this work means so much to me. It’s not just about telling stories; it’s about opening doors. If my work can help another woman entrepreneur, another immigrant family, or another young person see that they belong and that they matter, then I know it’s all worth it.
My hope is that when people look back, they’ll say we not only told immigrant stories—we changed the narrative forever.
Are you looking for sponsors?
Yes we need sponsors to make this a long term sustainable effort. There are so many stories that need to be told. I can see this podcast having a very long life. We need sponsors who feel for the subject matter and the cause we are trying to bring forth. We want sponsors who can not just bring revenue but also connect us to great guests and equally as important help us to build a loyal audience.
You can join as a Community Partner for our pre-launch. Reach out to Pamela for more information publisher@immigrantmagazine.com

So proud of you my little sister. The untold stories of millions of immigrants. Bottom line is we are all immigrants those before, those now and those still to pursue their dreams.
