Rachel Garrett, RN, CCH, is a Registered Nurse with more than three decades of healthcare experience, an Akashic Records practitioner, Master Energy Healer, spiritual teacher, and founder of Akashic Angels, LLC.
Blending grounded clinical experience with spiritual wisdom, Rachel helps people—especially empaths, caregivers, and over-givers—reconnect with their intuition, recognize repeating patterns, release what no longer serves them, and move forward with greater clarity and self-trust. Her work incorporates Akashic Records guidance, energy healing, nervous-system awareness, crystals, and practical spiritual tools.
Rachel is also the host of Spiritual Spotlight Series, where she shares meaningful conversations with authors, healers, researchers, and spiritual thought leaders about consciousness, healing, intuition, and personal transformation.
She is a contributing author in the award-winning book Get Ready; They’re Here: Preparing for Open Contact—A Guide for Humanity in the Age of Awakening. At the heart of everything Rachel teaches is her belief that healing can be powerful, grounded, and even joyful—because healing doesn’t have to be heavy.
Share your backstory.
My path to becoming a Master Energy Healer and founding Akashic Angels was not exactly a straight line. It was more like a scenic route with a few potholes, unexpected detours, and the occasional spiritual GPS recalculation!
I have worked in healthcare for more than two decades and have been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years. Today, I also work in clinical practice management. Nursing taught me how to remain steady during difficult moments, listen to what people are not saying, and recognize that every person is more than a diagnosis, symptom, or medical chart.
My clinical experience gave me a deep respect for science, but it also showed me that healing involves the whole person. Our emotions, beliefs, life experiences, nervous system, energy, and sense of spiritual connection can all influence how we move through the world.
My spiritual path was not born from having a perfectly peaceful or easy life. It grew through personal loss, depression, financial hardship, and experiences that brought me to my knees, including losing my brother to suicide and a very close family member being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. There were periods when I felt as though I had lost everything that once defined me. Looking back, those chapters became invitations to understand myself differently and explore healing on a deeper level.
I began studying energy healing because I needed support that could reach the parts of me that conventional approaches could not address alone. One step naturally led to another: energy work, crystals, angelic connection, intuitive development, mediumship, and eventually the Akashic Records.
Over the years, I became a Master Integrated Energy Therapy Instructor, Akashic Records Practitioner and Healer, Certified Crystal Healer, and Certified Angelic Medium, along with completing additional training in intuitive and spiritual development. I did not leave my clinical wisdom behind as my spiritual work deepened. Instead, I began asking a different question: What if science and spirituality are not in conflict? What if both can help us better understand healing?
A very close friend of mine owned Reiki Rocks Crystal Shoppe, and through my connection with her and the shop, I saw how people were often searching for much more than crystals. They wanted to feel seen, understood, supported, and hopeful—especially while navigating grief, anxiety, spiritual awakening, or major life changes.
My friend passed away almost two years ago and losing her created another difficult pause in my journey. Grief does not follow a convenient timeline, and it certainly does not care about your business plan. Her passing affected me deeply and made it harder for a time to regain my momentum and clarity. It also reminded me how important genuine spiritual community, compassionate support, and safe spaces for healing truly are.
Akashic Angels, LLC, grew from my desire to create that kind of space where spirituality feels grounded, welcoming, practical, and free from judgment. My work is not about telling people that they are broken or need to be fixed. It is about helping them understand themselves, recognize the patterns they have been carrying, release what no longer serves them, and reconnect with their own wisdom.
Today, I work primarily with empaths, caregivers, over-givers, and spiritually sensitive people who are ready to move from overwhelm and uncertainty into clarity, self-trust, and greater inner authority. I blend Akashic Records guidance, energy healing, nervous-system awareness, crystals, and practical spiritual tools to support that transformation.
I am also the host of Spiritual Spotlight Series, where I have the honor of speaking with authors, healers, researchers, and spiritual thought leaders from around the world about consciousness, intuition, healing, and personal transformation.
I certainly did not map all of this out in a five-year planner. Apparently, my soul had a much more interesting job description in mind! But every part of my journey—the clinical work, painful chapters, spiritual awakening, friendships, losses, and healing—has shaped Akashic Angels and the way I support people today.

“I believe spiritual healing does not have to feel heavy, intimidating, or out of reach. It can be compassionate, honest, joyful, and deeply human.” Explain
I believe people sometimes overcomplicate healing so much that it begins to feel like another full-time job. Suddenly, you are told that you need a 56-step morning ritual, the perfect healer, an expensive program, and a color-coded spiritual syllabus before you can feel better. That can make healing feel intimidating and completely out of reach.
I do not believe healing has to work that way.
At its core, healing begins with honesty: identifying what is happening, recognizing what you have been carrying, and becoming willing to release what is no longer serving you. You do not always need to analyze a pattern from 47 different angles before you are allowed to let it go.
As a Master Integrated Energy Therapy Instructor, I often use the phrase, “getting the issues out of the tissues.” Our bodies and energy systems can hold the imprint of emotions, experiences, beliefs, and stress long after an event has passed. With IET, the intention is to support the release of that stored emotional energy without requiring someone to repeatedly describe or emotionally relive every painful detail of what happened.
That does not mean we deny what happened, pretend everything is fine, or avoid appropriate medical or mental health support. Energy healing is a complementary practice. It can work alongside therapy, medicine, and other forms of care. My nursing background is an important part of how I approach this work because I believe healing should feel safe, grounded, and supportive, not chaotic or destabilizing.
Healing can include tears, but it can also include laughter, rest, movement, setting a boundary, asking for help, changing your mind, or finally saying, “This does not belong to me anymore.” Sometimes the shift is dramatic, but often it is quiet. It may simply be the moment your shoulders relax, your breathing changes, or you realize that an old situation no longer has the same emotional hold over you.
When I say healing can be joyful, I am not suggesting that pain is funny or that difficult emotions should be bypassed. I mean that pain does not have to become your permanent identity. There can still be lightness, humor, connection, and even joy while you are healing.
You also do not need to become dependent on a healer or spend an enormous amount of money to access your own wisdom. A good practitioner should help you reconnect with yourself, not convince you that they are the only person who can fix you.
Healing does not always have to be heavy. It does have to be honest. When compassion, willingness, and self-trust are present, profound change can begin in very simple and deeply human ways.

You blend grounded clinical experience with spiritual wisdom when working with clients. How are you helping people to break free from limiting beliefs?
I approach limiting beliefs with curiosity rather than judgment because most of them did not appear out of nowhere. They were often created during a time when a person was trying to feel safe, accepted, loved, or in control.
A belief such as “I am not good enough,” “I must take care of everyone,” or “I cannot trust myself” may have once helped someone navigate a difficult experience. The problem is that the belief can continue running long after the original situation has ended. It is a little like having outdated software operating quietly in the background—except there is no friendly notification asking whether you would like to install the healthier update.
My clinical experience taught me to assess before assuming. Rather than immediately labeling something as a spiritual block, I look at the whole person. What is happening in their life? What is their body communicating? Is their nervous system overwhelmed? Is this intuition, anxiety, learned conditioning, or a boundary that has been repeatedly ignored?
Limiting beliefs do not exist only as thoughts. They can also show up through physical tension, emotional reactions, automatic behaviors, relationship patterns, and the choices we repeatedly make. Someone may consciously believe they deserve support, for example, while automatically refusing help every time it is offered.
The spiritual part of my work allows us to explore the deeper origin of those patterns. I often describe the Akashic Records as an energetic health record for the soul. Through this spiritual practice, we may uncover themes connected to earlier life experiences, family or ancestral patterns, past-life influences, or unconscious loops that continue repeating.
Once we identify the pattern, we can ask important questions: Is this belief actually true? Is it mine? Did I inherit it? Who would I be without it? What has it been protecting me from—and am I ready to choose something different?
I may then use Akashic Records guidance, Integrated Energy Therapy, energetic clearing, nervous-system awareness, or other complementary tools to help release the emotional and energetic charge associated with the belief. This is not about erasing someone’s history or pretending difficult experiences never happened. It is about helping the past stop making every present-day decision.
The final step is integration because insight without action can become another very interesting spiritual conversation that changes absolutely nothing. We look at what the new belief means in real life. It may involve setting a boundary, accepting support, deciding without polling twelve other people, or taking one small action that reinforces self-trust.
I am not there to tell clients what to believe or make them dependent on me for answers. My role is to help them recognize what has been running beneath the surface, clear what they are ready to release, and reconnect with their own inner authority.
This work is complementary and does not replace medical or mental health care when those services are needed. I believe the most meaningful transformation happens when grounded support, personal responsibility, spiritual wisdom, and real-life action work together.

Tell us about your Masterclasses and resources you offer.
My masterclasses and resources are designed to make spiritual healing understandable, approachable, and useful in everyday life. I never want someone to finish a class thinking, “That sounded beautiful, but what am I supposed to do with it on Tuesday morning?”
One of my primary teaching areas is the Akashic Records. In my classes, I explain what the Records are, how they may support healing and self-discovery, and how people can begin accessing their own Records safely and confidently. We explore how to ask clear questions, distinguish intuitive guidance from fear or imagination, recognize repeating patterns, and translate spiritual insight into meaningful real-life change.
My Akashic Records Healing Masterclass goes more deeply into using the Records as a spiritual and complementary practice for identifying limiting beliefs, exploring energetic patterns, and supporting emotional and energetic release. The goal is not to remain endlessly focused on the past. It is to understand what is influencing you, clear what you are ready to release, and integrate the guidance into your present life.
I am also developing a live teaching series that brings together four areas that naturally belong together: understanding yourself as an empath, learning to trust and strengthen your intuition, reading the Akashic Records for yourself, and exploring healing within the Records. I want people to recognize that sensitivity is not necessarily a weakness. When it is understood and grounded, it can become a powerful source of information, compassion, and inner guidance.
For those who prefer to learn at their own pace, I have created several digital resources through Akashic Angels. Crystals 101 for Empaths is a grounded beginner’s guide that connects crystal healing with intention, energetic awareness, and nervous-system support. The Daily Soul Journal provides prompts for reflection, self-discovery, and intuitive connection.
I also offer Archangel Healing Meditations, which includes guided practices featuring Archangels Ariel, Gabriel, Raphael, and Metatron. My Creating Money meditation and masterclass helps people explore the doubts, fears, and beliefs that may affect their relationship with abundance.
For someone who wants a more complete starting point, I have created collections such as the Soul + Crystal Collection, the Healing Starter Kit, and the Angel + Abundance Bundle. These bring several complementary tools together without requiring someone to purchase a small spiritual library—or clear an entire bookshelf before getting started.
I also offer the Akashic Light YouTube Membership, which includes monthly Akashic energy readings and healings, crystal teachings, and additional spiritual support for members who want an ongoing connection.
Everything I create reflects the same belief: spiritual tools should help people feel more empowered, not more dependent or overwhelmed. My resources are educational and complementary, and they are designed to support—not replace—appropriate medical or mental health care. Whether someone begins with a journal, meditation, crystal guide, masterclass, or live experience, I want them to leave with greater clarity, stronger self-trust, and something practical they can use in their own life.

You are the host of Spiritual Spotlight Series. What can we find?
Spiritual Spotlight Series is a place for honest, meaningful, and sometimes wonderfully unexpected conversations about spirituality, healing, consciousness, intuition, and what it means to be human.
With more than 280 episodes, I have welcomed guests from all over the world. Some are internationally recognized names, including Rebecca Campbell, James Van Praagh, and Marie Diamond. Others may not be famous, but they bring extraordinary wisdom, powerful personal stories, and work that deserves to be discovered.
My guest list is wonderfully diverse. I have interviewed medical doctors, psychologists, researchers, authors, spiritual teachers, Akashic Records practitioners, mediums, energy healers, breathwork experts, astrologers, entrepreneurs, and people whose greatest expertise came through surviving and transforming their own life experiences. At times, it resembles the guest list for a very interesting spiritual dinner party—and I would happily attend!
We explore topics such as nervous-system healing, grief, spiritual awakening, intuition, manifestation, limiting beliefs, past lives, Akashic Records, mediumship, angelic guidance, breathwork, crystals, consciousness, trauma recovery, psychedelics, energy medicine, and the relationship between science and spirituality.
What matters most to me is not how well known someone is. It is whether the conversation is honest, thoughtful, and offers something meaningful to the listener. I want guests to feel safe enough to move beyond their polished biography and talk about the experiences that shaped them, what challenged them, what changed them, and what they now understand about healing and life.
I have also added Spiritual Spotlight Series Quick Tips, which are released every Friday. These are shorter solo episodes in which I share practical and grounded guidance on topics such as trusting your intuition, distinguishing fear from inner knowing, setting boundaries, receiving without guilt, calming an overwhelmed nervous system, and recognizing when you may be giving your power away.
The Quick Tips allow listeners to receive something useful in just a few minutes, while the longer interviews provide space for deeper conversations and a wider range of perspectives.
Listeners can find Spiritual Spotlight Series on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other major podcast platforms. Whether someone is new to spirituality, deeply immersed in it, or simply curious about what may exist beyond what we can physically see, there is something for them.
My goal has always been to make these conversations accessible and human. We can explore profound spiritual topics without pretending to have every answer—and we can absolutely laugh along the way.

You are a contributing author in the award-winning book Get Ready; They’re Here: Preparing for Open Contact—A Guide for Humanity in the Age of Awakening. What makes this book so special?
What makes this book so special is that it approaches open contact from a place of preparation rather than fear. I believe we are living in a time when disclosure and conversations about extraterrestrial, interdimensional, and higher-dimensional contact are becoming more open. The unknown can naturally feel unsettling, especially when so many of us grew up watching movies in which visitors from space immediately began destroying major landmarks!
Get Ready; They’re Here offers a very different perspective. It brings together numerous contributors who share personal experiences, spiritual insights, teachings, and practical ways to prepare ourselves for the possibility of contact. It is not about telling readers what they must believe, nor is it trying to convince anyone of one truth. Instead, it invites people to become curious, informed, grounded, and open to the possibility that humanity may be part of something much larger.
To me, preparation begins within. Before we look to the sky, we need to understand our own fears, beliefs, conditioning, and emotional responses. That includes learning how to calm and listen to the body, use discernment, trust our intuition, and remain rooted in our own inner authority. Contact—however, some people understands it—should never require us to give away our power or abandon critical thinking.
My clinical background taught me to ask, “Why?” while my spiritual work taught me to also ask, “What if?” I believe we can hold both questions at the same time. We can remain thoughtful and discerning while allowing ourselves to explore ideas that may be outside what we have previously understood.
Whether readers view contact literally, spiritually, or are simply curious about the subject, this book helps them explore it through the lens of love, unity, sovereignty, and conscious evolution. It reminds us that perhaps preparing for contact is also about making deeper contact with ourselves, our intuition, our humanity, and our connection to one another.
Receiving the International Impact Book Award for Outstanding Literary Achievement in Spirituality and Personal Growth made this collective project even more meaningful. I am honored to be one of its contributing authors because its message is ultimately empowering: if disclosure and open contact continue to unfold, we do not have to meet the unknown feeling frightened or powerless. We can meet it grounded, discerning, openhearted, and ready.
What is next?
What is next feels like a natural expansion of everything I have already been building. After more than 280 episodes of Spiritual Spotlight Series, I am in the process of developing a live version of the show—because apparently recording hundreds of episodes was not quite enough for me!
My vision is to bring the conversations off the screen and into a room with a live audience. I would love to combine meaningful interviews, audience participation, spiritual teaching, healing experiences, and genuine human connection. The podcast has introduced me to extraordinary people from around the world, and the live show feels like the next step in creating a community rather than simply broadcasting content.
I am currently planning a live class with The Healing Den focused on Akashic Records and healing. The class will help participants learn how to connect with the Records in a grounded and approachable way, strengthen their intuition, and use the Records as a resource for clarity, emotional release, and personal healing. I want people to understand that accessing spiritual guidance does not have to be complicated or reserved for a chosen few. We all have intuitive abilities, and sometimes we simply need a safe space and practical guidance to begin trusting them.
In addition, I am developing an empath course for people who constantly feel, absorb, and carry the emotions and energy around them. It will focus on understanding what it truly means to be an empath, recognizing what belongs to you and what does not, creating healthy energetic boundaries, and learning how to use sensitivity as a gift rather than experiencing it as an exhausting full-time job.
I am also open to additional speaking engagements, live classes, podcast events, and collaborations that bring healing, spirituality, and grounded conversations into real-life spaces. My next chapter is really about connection—helping people feel seen, empowering them to trust themselves, and reminding them that healing can be meaningful without always feeling so heavy.
