Robin L. Hamilton, LCMFT Helps Couples to Stop Surviving Their Relationships and Start Living It
Life is full of unanticipated surprises, and many times we are blindsided by the ones that are life changing or by ones that put us on emotional rollercoasters that seem too difficult to get off. By talking to someone who is warm, sincere, and non judgmental, a person can realize that they are able to relax, and locate that pathway to their desired place in life.
Meet Robin L. Hamilton, LCMFT a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She graduated from Capella University, with her second master’s degree, in 2020. She started her counseling career in 1999, when she graduated with an associate’s degree in human services. She’s grown a lot since then, and has learned a lot about couples, families, and individuals. “I strongly believe in the sanctity of marriage, in the power of strong family structure, and in an individual’s ability to transform. It is, and has been, for over 20 years, my desire to assist people with making positive life changing decisions, and to help them move forward with the rewarding outcomes”
She supports clients from diverse backgrounds. Although she specializes in treating relationship issues, She has extensive experience with supporting clients who are struggling with other issues such as, trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, eating disorders, etc. I lean towards solution-focused, or narrative therapy models.
“I look forward to bringing an effective mix of experience, expertise, clarity, and action to your therapeutic process, in order to maximize your outcomes, and to help you achieve genuine healing, and overall health and well-being.”

Life is full of unanticipated surprises, and many times we are blindsided by the ones that are life changing. What led you to be a leading licensed Marriage and Family Therapist?
I found myself deeply relating to other people’s pain, wishing I could ease their burdens, offer solutions, and help them move forward the way I had. Over time I realized that many of the hardships and traumas I experienced throughout my life had given me the understanding and compassion to help others navigate their own. It didn’t take long for me to accept that this was my calling, and once I did, I chose to step into it with purpose.
Why does your approach work when others don’t?
No one has walked in my shoes but me, and no one knows my journey better than I do. I believe in being honest, even when the truth is difficult to hear. My love is rooted in compassion, but it is also rooted in accountability. I will tell you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear, because real growth begins with truth.
