Jewels by Sanjam started from a very personal place. Share what led you to launch Jewels by Sanjam
Jewelry has always been personal to me. Growing up in India, I was surrounded by jewelry—not simply as an accessory, but as something connected to memories, celebrations, family, and self-expression.
After moving to the United States, I found myself wanting pieces that carried that sense of craftsmanship and character but still felt contemporary and easy to wear. That became the seed for Jewels by Sanjam.
I started with a love for design and a desire to create something of my own. What began very organically has grown into a brand that brings together my Indian heritage, years of travel, and my own evolving sense of style. Every collection has a little piece of my journey in it.
Take us through the craftsmanship.
Every piece at Jewels by Sanjam begins with an idea and is brought to life by skilled artisans in India. I work closely on the designs, choosing the shapes, textures, stones and finishes that give each piece its own character.
Our jewelry is handcrafted primarily in brass with 18K gold plating, with pearls and semi-precious stones incorporated into many of our designs. We pay special attention to making our pieces skin-friendly, comfortable and lightweight without compromising on the statement they make.
The human touch behind every piece is what makes it special, giving each design its own unique character.

That really captures why I continue to do what I do. When someone chooses one of my pieces for an important celebration, receives it as a gift, travels with it, or simply wears it on an ordinary day because it makes her feel beautiful, the piece begins to carry her story too.
Share how you built your brand.
Building this brand has also taught me a lot about believing in something before you know exactly where it will lead. There have been challenges, rejections, learning curves and moments of doubt, but there have also been incredible milestones that once felt very far away.
For me, success isn’t only about how much jewelry we sell. It’s about creating something meaningful, supporting craftsmanship, building genuine connections, and hopefully showing that a dream can grow when you keep showing up for it.
What are your top-sellers?
Jewels by Sanjam started small, with a passion for jewelry and a desire to create something of my own. I began by showcasing my pieces at local pop-ups and events, where I was able to meet my customers personally and understand what they loved.
Over time, I kept pushing myself and the brand into bigger spaces—from local events to wholesale, national trade shows, and fashion platforms. Each opportunity brought new relationships, lessons, and confidence.
Today, Jewels by Sanjam is reaching customers and retailers across the country, but I still feel like we are just getting started. For me, the journey has always been about growing one step at a time while staying true to why I started.
Tell us about your Statement Pieces.
Our statement pieces are designed to stand out while still feeling effortless to wear. Hand-beaten textures and brushed gold finishes give many of our designs a distinctive, artisanal character. We combine these details with pearls and semi-precious stones to create pieces that are bold yet timeless—designed to elevate an outfit and make the woman wearing them feel confident.
The holidays are around the corner, are you working on new designs?
I’m especially excited for the holiday season. We’ve been working on some beautiful new designs that feel perfect for celebrations and gifting, with statement pieces, hand-beaten textures, brushed gold finishes, and artisanal details. Most importantly, we want to make artisanal jewelry accessible and affordable without compromising on craftsmanship or design.
This season, we’re also focusing on gifting and reaching new audiences through our website, social media, retail partnerships, and in-person events.
