How did your professional singing career lead you to help women entrepreneurs land speaking engagements?

My background has always centered around communication and performance. Before becoming a coach, I spent years working as a teacher, translator, and interpreter after earning two degrees in language and communication. At the same time, music and performing were always a huge part of my life.

As I began growing my business, I realized that so many brilliant women struggled not because they lacked expertise, but because they struggled to communicate their value clearly and confidently. My experience as a performer gave me a unique perspective on presence, delivery, audience connection, and emotional impact — all essential components of speaking.

Over time, I started combining business strategy with performance techniques to help women entrepreneurs craft compelling signature talks, strengthen their stage presence, and use speaking as a tool for visibility, authority, and revenue growth.

Tell us about your first TEDx Talk and how you landed it.

My first TEDx Talk came after years of consistently showing up, networking, speaking locally, and refining my message. It wasn’t something that happened overnight.

I had already been building my visibility through my podcast, community involvement, speaking engagements, and content creation. Eventually, I was invited to apply for TEDxCherryCreekWomen, and I approached the application strategically — focusing on a clear idea worth spreading rather than trying to impress with credentials.

The experience taught me that landing opportunities like TEDx is rarely about “luck.” It’s about clarity, relationships, positioning, and consistently putting yourself in rooms where opportunities can find you.

Share the three ways you can help women entrepreneurs land speaking gigs and grow their brand.

  1. Crafting a Clear Signature Talk
I help women turn their expertise and life experience into a compelling talk that positions them as authorities while genuinely connecting with audiences.
  2. Strengthening Delivery & Presence
A strong message alone isn’t enough. I help clients improve their delivery, confidence, storytelling, and stage presence so they become memorable and trusted speakers.
  3. Strategic Outreach & Positioning
I teach clients how to pitch themselves, leverage their network, refine their speaker assets, and position speaking as a strategic business growth tool rather than just a visibility tactic.

What will people notice when working with you?

People often notice that I bring both strategy and heart into the process. I deeply care about helping women feel seen, confident, and aligned in the way they communicate.

Clients also appreciate that I don’t just focus on “performing well.” I help them create talks that are intentional, authentic, and tied to real business growth opportunities. My background as both a performer and entrepreneur allow me to support the mindset, messaging, and delivery sides of speaking simultaneously.

Tell us about your award-winning book The Empowered Woman: The Ultimate Roadmap to Business Success.

The Empowered Woman was born from my desire to help women build businesses and lives that feel aligned, impactful, and authentic.

In the book, I share lessons from my own journey as an immigrant entrepreneur, mother of triplets, speaker, and business owner, along with practical strategies around mindset, visibility, leadership, and personal growth.

What makes the book special to me is that it combines strategy with empowerment. It’s not just about business success — it’s about becoming the kind of woman who is willing to use her voice, trust herself, and create meaningful impact.

What was the best advice you received when seeking revenue-generating signature talks?

The best advice I received was:
“A good talk doesn’t just inspire people – it leads somewhere.”

That completely changed the way I approached speaking.

Many entrepreneurs focus only on delivering value, but the most effective talks also create clarity around the next step. A revenue-generating talk should position your expertise, build trust, and naturally open the door for deeper conversations, opportunities, or offers.

Speaking is one of the most powerful business growth tools when approached strategically.
